Welcome to the 2011-12 winter issue of BST Journal. In maintaining our high standards we have included papers from a range of exciting practitioners and theoreticians. We hope you find the contents of this issue stimulating and relevant to your own work. We are very interested in receiving new material either in the form of response to our publications or relating to any other topics that might interest you.

The refereed papers as usual range across a broad spectrum which includes the physical, literary, artistic and theatrical, emphasising the blurring of disciplinary boundaries and forms. BST remains committed to a diversity of debate and dissemination of cutting edge artistic and performance practices.

Similarly, Reviews and Perspectives sections of the Journal, while not refereed, continue to offer distinctly original voices and opinions and, as such, form a valuable independent documentation of various contemporary art practices. The Journal always welcomes contributions to these important sections.
