Welcome to the latest issue of BST Journal with its full complement of papers, performance, perspectives and reviews. Interestingly, readers might detect a special interest in arts festivals with a particular focus in this issue on the Venice Biennale.

BST reflects the ethos of pursuing and giving a voice to individual research and creative projects and as usual, it encourages responses to a variety of issues within performance and art practices.

Reviews and Perspectives sections of the Journal, while not refereed, continue to offer distinctly original opinions. The Journal always welcomes contributions to these sections.
